I am available for hire on a freelance basis, accepting projects in the fields of still photography, photo editing and design, video editing and light video production, and audio editing. Rates are negotiable and determined by the size and scope of each project.
I currently serve as Production Assistant for the mental-health related radio show "Voices in the Family" at WHYY, Philadelphia's public media station. Prior to joining the "Voices" team, I volunteered with the producers of the monthly arts feature Friday Arts (WHYY-TV) to learn video production and editing technique.
I gained additional experience as a freelance Multimedia Editor for the Communications department of Swarthmore College, and as the Media and Development Associate for the Chester Children's Chorus. Much of the video media you will find on this site comes directly from my work for the CCC.
Prior to entering the media scene, I studied German Literature at the University of Pennsylvania, and Music and German at Swarthmore College. I am originally from Sewanee, TN.
But no description of me would be quite complete without mention of my great passion for the East, specifically Pakistan. I have been blessed with a great number of friends in that country who have inspired a deep love of their culture and desire to improve relations between the US and Pakistan (and to play some part in improving the Western understanding of the Islamic world more broadly). I have begun to chronicle some of my online adventures in my blog.
In the future I hope to link my visual and media-related abilities with my love of the East. So stay tuned. Who knows where my path will take me.
